Affiliate programs are a great way to make money from any site. One of the better affiliate programs is Amazon.Com. While most affiliates charge some small fee to sign up and then pay out an even smaller amount. With Amazon, you have a better chance of making money since their payouts as an affiliate are just plainly better, and free as well.
You can simply go to Amazon and click on their Join Associates link at the bottom of their page. You will then need to create a Build-A-Link bookmark so that you can ad the appropriate Amazon product latter to the page it belongs to.
Find the product that you want to review on the Amazon site and locate its ASIN or ISBN. From here you can then write your review on that particular product and end up with an image and a link to Amazon where the reader can buy this product.
There is obviously a little more to the Amazon Affiliate program, but there are many easy to understand manuals available through their site.
Now you may not make a lot, only 5%, but if you figure the report is on a $50 book, then you can then work out the math to the effect that one affiliate purchase can mean a higher payout than your average click through.
This does not mean get rid of AdSense. Keep your AdSense in there to make money in between purchases. On any given day, you can easily write 20 reviews (as a career basis not a hobby). With every passing day, you are creating more pages all linking to the Amazon Affiliate purchases.
Don’t forget to add other stuff to since it is important to diversify.
